Thomas Cole

Thomas “Tom” Patrick Cole was born on January 2, 1951, in Newark, New Jersey to Thomas and Valentine (Bober) Cole.  He graduated from New Providence High School in 1968 and attended Fairleigh Dickinson in 1972, New Jersey, where he earned a bachelor degree in business administration. He later became a registered nurse and relocated to Fort Lauderdale, Florida. He worked at Memorial Regional Hospital until he retired in 2014.

Throughout his career he thoroughly enjoyed being with friends and traveling.  After his retirement he continued to travel, most recently traveling to Egypt, the Panama Canal and Churchill, Manitoba, and continued to enjoy the company of his friends and neighbors.

Tom will always be remembered for his eclectic hobbies and interests, some of which include his love of the beach and art, trains, gardening, traveling to interesting and unique places, and learning about sea and wildlife.  He will be missed.

Tom is survived by his sister, Karen Cole, brother David (Diane) Cole, his niece Lauren (Mosah) Goodman, his nephew Evan Cole and great niece Julia Goodman.  He is preceded in death by his parents and brother Alan Cole.

Memorials can be made to the Sea Turtle Conservancy or the National Wildlife Fund.
