Bowen, Kenneth Edgar, of Pompano Beach, Florida, passed away at his job, on January 8, 2021
born November 15, 1962, in Columbus, GA.
Kenneth, is survived by his wife of 25 years, Deesie Bowen, son Kenedy Bowen, daughter Annabella Bowen, mother, Virginia Lowe Bowen-Rait, step father, James Rait ,sister, Leigh Bowen Muro, brother, Bradley Nelson Bowen, many cousins, his paternal aunt, maternal aunt and uncle, step brothers, and their families. He is preceeded in death by his father, Edgar Howell Bowen.
Kenneth attended St. Thomas Aquinas High School, graduated in 1981, Earned a football scholarship to East Tennessee State University, graduated with a degree in Construction Engineering. He played a season for the Atlanta Falcons in 1987. He worked as a project manager in the Commercial Construction industry for more than 30 years in the Greater Ft Lauderdale area and throughout the Southeast.
He attended First Baptist Church in downtown Ft Lauderdale.
Kenny was an avid fisherman and captained his own boat. He loved off-shore and in-shore fishing, hunting and had deep love and respect for the outdoors. He loved fellowship with friends and family. He was a natural athlete and enjoyed triathlons and playing most sports.
Kenny was a man of strong faith, a loving and loyal husband and father. He was respected in his field, known for his trustworthiness, determination, work ethic as well as a creative and brilliant problem solver. He loved life and this zeal was expressed in his radiant smile and warm heart.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 14, 2021 from 4:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m., at Baird Case Jordan Fannin Funeral Home, 4343 North Federal Highway, Fort Lauderdale, Florida 33308. COVID RESTRICTIONS IN PLACE
Funeral Service will be Friday, January 15, 2021 at The Sanctuary Church, 1400 North Federal Highway, Fort Lauderdale, Florida 33304. COVID RESTRICTIONS IN PLACE.
Private Interment will be in Pompano Beach City Cemetery following the service.
