John A. Schlotter

John A. Schlotter - age 94 passed  away on April 25, 2021
 in his home with his caregiver (Ricky) by his side.

He was born in (3/14/1927) in  New Rochelle, N.Y.
 to John and Jennie Schlotter (predeceased).
John was the oldest of 7 children, he had 4 Brothers -
Richard (Dickie), Theodore (Teddy), George (Buddy) and Robert (Bobby)
He also had 2 Sisters, Elizabeth (Betty) and Barbara Jean.
All predeceased him.

He is survived by 3 Nieces and 5 Nephews-
a cousin, Christa Frazer and her Husband Tom 
and Sister-in-Law Catherine Schlotter. (Teddy)

He was a high school teacher (subjects were  government and social studies )
in NY State and for many years in Florida until his retirement.  

He was a great cook and loved to bake- always sharing his recipes.
He travelled  extensively in his  younger years .

A "Special Thank You" to Ricardo Vasquez (Ricky) for taking care of John for the past  5 years, the family is forever  "grateful " to him.

A Mass was celebrated for John on 4/30/2021 at 10AM in his church- 
St. John the Baptist  Catholic Church in Fort Lauderdale, Fl.

John was laid to rest on 5/6/2021 in Rye, NY- Greenwood  Union Cemetery
with his parents and youngest Brother (Bobby)
