Heather Lynn Waszak

On Wednesday October 28th, 2020, Heather Lynn Waszak passed peacefully in her sleep, at home and in the presence of family. She was originally diagnosed with renal cancer in 2017 and after a long fight, and strenuous treatment, she lost the battle this year. Heather was born on March 9th, 1978 in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, which is where she spent most of her life. Heather spent many years working for Red Lobster and relocated to Georgia in 2010 to become a store manager. In her free time, Heather enjoying being on the water, going on the boat and fishing with her parents. She also spent a lot of time with her cat Rusty, whom she called pickle. Heather had a huge heart and was always looking out for others. Her compassion and kindness was remarkable, and she would light up any room she walked into. Heather is survived by her parents, Laura and Rob Waszak; her sister, Stephanie Maddock; her niece and nephew, Kayla and Timmy Maddock; her grandmother, Dorothy Bomarito; her cat, Rusty and many aunts, uncles and cousins. A celebration of life will be held on Friday, November 20th at 4pm at the parish hall located at St. Henry’s Church- 1500 S. Andrews Ave. Pompano Beach, FL 33069. Flower donations are welcome and will be received at this address.
