Derrick R. DeForge (56), of Hillsboro Beach FL, died September 29, 2021, at Broward Health North.
He was born on October 26th, to Grace P. Shriver (Peppas-DeForge) and Richard A. DeForge in Schenectady, NY.
Derrick grew up in Niskayuna, NY attended Niskayuna High School. He worked in Schenectady for many years before moving to Florida, where he loved the beautiful weather and being around the Ocean. Derrick loved people and was always joking. Derrick and Diane had a Medical Sales business in Florida.
He married Diane M. DeForge in 2009 and they have one child, Isabella M. DeForge (12). Derrick cherished his daughter Isabella. He was a wonderful, doting father and husband. He was always active in her activities. He loved his family and friends, and was always willing to help out when needed.
Derrick is survived by his wife Diane, daughter Isabella, mother Grace P. Shriver (Niskayuna, NY), sisters; Heather G. DeForge (Alexandria, VA) and Kimberly R. Carter (Virginia Beach, VA), nephews; Tyler, Justin, Ethan and Evan Carter, cousins; Mark Peppas, Carol Williams, Chris McCarthy and Suzanne Godshaw.
He was preceded in death by his father Richard A. DeForge, stepfather, Paul R. Shriver, Jr., and father-in-law, Dennis Stacer Sr.
Derrick is also survived by mother-in-law; Madelyn Stacer (Harbor Beach, Mi), brothers-in-law; Dennis Stacer Jr. (wife Connie) Sandusky, Mi, Michael Stacer (wife Liz) Sandusky, Mi, Mark Stacer Harbor Beach, Mi, Duane Stacer Harbor Beach, Mi, Daniel Stacer (wife Danielle) Bad Axe, Mi and Matthew Stacer, Harbor Beach, Mi, sisters -in-law; Carol Stacer Harbor Beach, Mi and Peggy Mees (Husband Mark) Jackson, Mi, several nieces and nephews, Connie Stacer, Jessica Farmer, Elli Mees, Dennis Stacer III, Justin Stacer, Christopher Stacer, Nathan Farmer, Daniel Farmer all living in Mi. several great nieces; Ava, Remi, Grace Farmer Lakyn and Aliyah Stacer.
Graveside Service will be held on Thursday, October 21, 2021 at 11:30 a.m. at City of Pompano Beach Cemetery 400 S.E. 23rd Avenue Pompano Beach, Florida 33062
