Douglas William Louis Barré

Douglas Barré, 79, of Lauderdale By The Sea, passed away on April 12, 2024 in Fort Lauderdale, FL.

Funeral services will be held 10 A.M. Monday, April 15, 2024 at Baird-Case Jordan-Fannin Funeral Home with Gary Weismann officiating. Arrangements are by Baird-Case Jordan-Fannin Funeral Home.

Doug was born in Vancouver, BC to William and Florence Barre on May 24, 1944. He married Zoya Barré on July 30, 2009 in Truckee, CA. He graduated from York University in 1976 with a Bachelor of Business Administration and Management. His passion for entrepreneurship led him to a successful career as an Owner/Partner for GeeksForLess, where he dedicated 16 years o his life. Beyond his professional accomplishments, Doug’s greatest joy came from his family. He was a devoted husband to Zoya and a loving father to his children, Jayden and Giovanna. His warmth and kindness also extended to Alla Mishchenko, whom he cherished as family.

Doug will be remembered for his unwavering integrity and his generosity. He touched the lives of many and will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. His legacy will continue through the people who he inspired and motivated during his lifetime.

Doug is preceded in death by William Barré, Florence Barré, and Joseph Barré.

Doug is survived by Zoya Barré, Jayden Barré, and Giovanna Barré, and Alla Mishchenko.
